ABOUT EVIE DICIACCIO

After more than 20 years as a successful development professional at nationally recognized arts organizations and research universities I launched my coaching and consulting practice in 2015. Drawing on extensive experience working effectively with individuals and teams, most recently at the LA Phil and UCLA, I now help clients achieve their professional and personal goals.

Before my career in development, I spent 10 years as a manager of arts projects and business ventures in Zimbabwe, establishing and then leading a theatre company dedicated to social change. I organized a southern Africa theatre festival, hosted a cultural television program, edited a business magazine and managed an art gallery.

Additionally, I have taught university extension courses and been guest speaker for numerous professional organizations on topics related to development.

My bachelor's and master's degrees are in English, with doctoral coursework in Theatre, and my coaching training is from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation.

Professional Coaching

I specialize in executive and transition coaching, with particular focus on the non-profit sector and those involved with the arts and education. Through coaching, clients imagine, then create and ultimately enjoy a life of greater purpose and achievement, both personally and professionally.

We begin by forging a trusting working alliance to identify the client’s coaching goals. The robust coaching methodology includes creative techniques tailored to build a client’s awareness around purpose, values, strengths, options and resources. The outcome is the development of a sustainable action plan designed to close the gap between the client’s potential and performance.

Philanthropy Consulting

The consulting work is also grounded in my extensive professional experience, but here focuses on strengthening the internal capacity of a non-profit organization to achieve enhanced fundraising results.

I customize each engagement to meet the specific needs of the client and to suit the culture of that organization. By bringing a coaching mindset to consulting, I create a working partnership that builds upon strengths. Working together, always within sight of the core mission and desired results, we strengthen the organization in sustainable ways.

Training

Through customized training programs, I help non-profit organizations, educational institutions and companies learn how to deepen and sustain relationships with donors and customers to enhance business results. My workshops are fun and interactive, and participants leave with concrete ideas that can be easily implemented to help with development goals.

I bring a sense of humor, creativity, and compassion to all of my work. But most importantly, I have a deep and abiding respect for all my clients, and believe unreservedly in their resourcefulness and power to achieve their goals.
